Roquefort,
a source of benefits

A blue-veined cheese made from raw, whole sheep’s milk, Roquefort provides a supply of vitamins and nutrients that are beneficial to the body and vital processes.

Its calcium and phosphorus content promotes the mineralization of bones and teeth and the regeneration of tissues. Ideal for the prevention of osteoporosis. Roquefort is also rich in potassium, essential for enzymatic activity and the regulation of heart rhythm, as well as in zinc, an essential trace element for the skin.

Raw, whole sheep’s milk is distinguished by its richness in vitamins A (for visual acuity and cell renewal), B (conducive to the balance of the nervous system, the formation of red blood cells, etc.), C (prevention of cognitive disorders and antioxidant action), D (strengthening of the immune system) or vitamin E (prevention of arterial damage).
The cheese contributes to the good nutritional balance of the meal. Its protein content is equivalent to that of meat. Also, cheese is always welcome in a vegetarian meal !

After the effort,
the Roquefort !

The original terroir of Roquefort is a great playground for outdoor sports, especially extreme sports ! Kayaking, canoeing, rafting, paragliding, climbing, trail running, road or all-terrain biking, hiking… the rivers and the reliefs lend themselves to multiple experiences. Every year, major sporting events take place such as the Millau Viaduct race, the Templiers trail, the Natural games, etc. At the supply stops, it is not uncommon to find Roquefort.
Among the competitors, some are sheep breeders. Maël ALRIC, milk producer for Roquefort, duathlonist, is selected for the French team. Maël maintains his form with his sheep and a good slice of Roquefort!

Because it awakens and sharpens the taste, Roquefort brings well-being and balance. It is not for nothing that it is a jewel of French gastronomy, recognized by Unesco as an intangible heritage of humanity !
